When the season is right, and two Jhoven fall in love so deeply, a beautiful baby calf is conceived.

Jhoven can breed year round, provided the bond is strong enough between mates, but they mainly breed in the summer time.

All Jhoven MUST complete the Fertility Trials before they can breed.

Breeding your Jhoven

Every member may Post 2 Breedings per month unless an event or etc. gives permission otherwise.

All Breedings MUST have a slot permission written even if you own one or both of the Jhoven.

To Breed your Jhoven, Go to the correct comment thread on the current Breeding Request Journal (Linked on the the front page of the site) and follow the instructions there.

Typically, only one Calf is born in a breeding, but on occasion, twins may be born.

Regular-sized Jhoven can only breed with Regular Jhoven, and Pygmy Jhoven can only breed with Pygmy Jhoven.

Breeding slots

Breeding slots are a limit on how many times a Jhoven can breed.
All Breedings MUST have a slot permission written even if you own one or both of the Jhoven.All Basic rank Jhoven, once they’ve completed the trials, Jhoven have 2 Breeding slots.

At Rank 2, they gain 3 more breeding slots.
At Rank 3 they gain 5 more breeding slots,
At Mega Moose Rank, they gain 5 more slots for a complete total of 15 breeding slots.

Your Jhoven can earn 1 extra breeding slot per 200 points from the ranking system.
Up to 10 extra slots can be earned this way at any point, for a life time total of 25 slots.

( These points must be separate from the ranking up process points.)
These extra slots may by unlocked at any point after your Jhoven has completed the Fertility trials.

Buying, Trading, and Selling Slots.

You may sell, trade, and or gift breeding slots to your Jhoven to other players.
(Please note: We do not police transactions between players so please be sure to be careful when buying, selling, or trading.)

All Slot permissions are recorded.

(We do recommend that you track your breeding slots yourself as well. We are only human and do make mistakes.)– You cannot write a slot permission if the Jhoven has not unlocked breeding, or has no slots left.

PLEASE NOTE:
– You can not re-sell slots to Battle NPCs or Event Imports for Real life currency
– You can not re-sell slots to Group Imports for Real Life currency over the value of $15 USD at the moment of re-sell
-You may not re- sell any breeding slot tickets for Deviant art points or other similar currencies.
(Other ARPG currencies are fine)

Breeding limit modifiers modify how many times you are allowed to breed Jhoven in a month

Breeding image
You can Post 1 extra breeding per month if you attach a breeding image or story of the two Jhoven.
Images:
60% of both Jhoven shown,
Colored,
Literature:
400 words,
Clearly mention both Jhoven’s appearances.

Love Bug Companion
Allows the Jhoven with this companion equipped to breed once over the monthly limit.

The Month of July
In the month of July all members may post 3 Breeding requests instead of the normal 2

Potions are one time use items

Guarantees that Twins are born in your breeding.

Guarantees that the calves rolled are Male.

Guarantees that the calves rolled are Female.

Guarantees that the calves rolled have the chosen parent’s Stone type.

Grants a higher chance that a mutation will occur in breeding.

Consumables are other items that are one time use items used in breeding

Breeding Slot Tickets – Group & Battle Imports – Event imports
Breeding slot tickets are one time use Items.
To use them, Follow the below steps:
– Link the Jhoven being used as normal.
– Write: “In Bank / Bank” on the “Sire/Dam’s Permission:” line of the form,
-List the full breeding slot (without link) in the “Breeding Items applied:” line of the form
e.g: “Breeding Items applied: Breeding Slot EI-103 Lillie

Mistletoe Item
Provides a 25% chance to roll an extra calf in breeding -One time use-
Raspberry Tart
Guarantees the Dam’s base coat will  pass onto the first calf in breeding -One time use-
Huckleberry Pie
Guarantees the Sire’s base coat will  pass onto the first calf in breeding -One time use-
Gingerbread Item
Guarantees that a mutation will occur to the first calf in a breeding -One time use-

Other breeding modifiers are modifiers that don’t fit in the other categories, but also modify breeding.

Life Stone at rank Mega Moose
This will grant a 30% chance for an extra calf to be rolled in a breeding.
(stacks with twin potion)

Inbreeding
This will incur the following penalties:
Blind – Frail – Deaf – Lame – Healthy – Stillborn
!! Stillborn calves are deceased and will not be able to be used !!

Chimera Jhoven
Chimera Jhoven have a chance to pass down markings from both sides of their genotype.
