The Open Market Lore
As Humans tend to do upon establishing themselves;
An economy was established shortly after the first dozen human colonizers settled upon the land.
Before the tribes split, they created what is to this day known as The Open Market.
Tents with wares were set up and items were exchanged for coins made of Jhoven bones.
These coins became lovingly referred to as Jhoven Tokens.
Those that did not have coins, -or didn’t want to use them, found success in bartering.
Bartering became a staple of the Open Market
In the modern day, the Open Market still proudly stands.
It is widely respected as a safe and somewhat of a third space in the town of Jhoveem.
People and Jhoven alike travel from all over the continent to buy, sell or trade wares.
